“He meets with [the First Presidency] regularly and thinks that they have a good role to play in America, in terms of spreading the word of love,” White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said yesterday, as reported by the Salt Lake Tribune. “I don’t think the president would ever pass up an opportunity to meet with the president of the Mormon church.”

A new speech by Gregory Clark titled Some Lessons on Faith and Fear is available at BYU’s Speeches website.

Here is an excerpt:

I have been learning about the relationship between faith and fear. I am beginning to think that the conflict between faith and fear—as much as that between good and evil—is the opposition that structures my experience in this life. Essentially, when I am living in faith, I don’t fear change, or changing myself, for the better. But when I am living in fear, I find change and changing—for the better, at least—almost impossible. It is important to learn how to live in faith rather than in fear because the process of changing for the better is at the very foundation of the Father’s plan for us. Changing for the better is what we are here in this life to do, and it is what the mission of His Son enables us to do.

There are currently two temples in Arizona, in Mesa and Snowflake.
The Church’s Temple Department reports that the Mesa Arizona Temple, close to the city of Phoenix, is attended by more worshippers than any other Latter-day Saint temple in the world outside of Utah.

Are there any readers in Arizona that may know the exact location of this new temple?
