By making god white, it equated to all the non white kids that they were less than. Now if we can accept that Jesus was a non white, maybe slavery wouldn’t have come around. I know the only reason why mormons allowed pacfic islanders to baptize before blacks was because islanders are decentants of Nephi. If they acted that way to blacks, the world would have been better off.

Mormonism is not Christianity though it has similarities, however it is fundamentally unlike Christianity with its core beliefs, which are anything but Christian.
There is a heaven and hell and there is a God revealed by the bible only that differs from Mormonsism.

Ive also talked to the missionaries every day. My parents still allow me to go to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints every once in a while, and I can’t possible explain how much I love it there! Friend, my wife and I have had maybe 8-10 mormon missionaries come to our house. We have had wonderful discussions and many meetings reading the Book of Mormon. We really enjoyed our time with them and their sincerity.
I personally came to know the Lord Jesus through His word and Supernatural events He gave in my life. There are many traditional Christians who may not have truly had a personal touch from Jesus. They only know about following 10 commandments or holidays etc.

The Bible in Isaiah speaks of Lucifer as a son of the morning who fell from Heaven. Assuming Jesus Christ is Jehovah and was also in Heaven, it is not intellectual nonsense for a non-Mormon to also wonder if Satan and Jesus at one time were brothers [as if that in any way diminishes Jesus Christ as a pre-mortal God]. As I spoke to the missionaries though I came to realize that the message they were teaching showed about loving others, accepting Christ, repenting of our sins and everything you would expect from a Christian church.

Joseph Smith was God’s prophet on the earth, sent to restore the gospel in it’s fulness to the world. He was a polygamist, but a lot of people were back then. The important thing is, he was a good man and Mormons today do not practice polygamy, as we were commanded not to through a revelation from Heavenly Father.

I’m not necessarily the best Mormon out there but I believe in Jesus Christ who was born for us and who died for us. The Mormons teach that the LDS church is the only true church. My primary issue is with theology. The biggest being the concept of many Gods, that we all become Gods, that God was once a man, and Jesus is a separate god from the Father. Doesn’t the Bible clearly state that “Lord is God, and that there is none else”?

[..YouTube..] @JamesStomberg Christians believe Christ is the Lord, God (the Word made flesh and dwelt among us). And since Jesus is God, he is also perfect. He knows that we cannot be perfect beings and that’s why there is such a huge emphasis on repentance. Adam and Eve were likely close to this “perfect” behavior but this was through innocence not knowledge, and they still sinned. They sinned because Satan tempted them, saying they could be more like God by having perfect knowledge of good and bad.

Now, you can always try and find other ways around this, but if you are going to call yourself Christian you should stick to what the Bible states; and it makes this point very clear because it is important: that there is only one true God.

Jesus equates himself to God (several times), the Holy spirit is also referred to as God. Illustrations are hard, and there are clearly three beings discussed. But instead of thinking of it as 1+1+1=3, why can’t we make sense of it as 1x1x1=1. Col 2:9, “In him Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.”

She can’t reconcile truth claims in BoM with the evidence. Although Moroni says some heartfelt things, I don’t believe it because I cannot accept the premise of Moroni’s existence. This is since I don’t accept Joe Smith’s proclamation as true; sorry, but both his claims and character fail to provide good reason to make it believable.

The Holy Spirit is guided by more than just our feelings and it needs to be; otherwise it can be misguided. God gave us the ability to reason and to make sense of the world. I feel in my heart that the Mormon foundations are problematic because reasons inform me so. How could something as important as the BoM be true if it is prompted with feet of clay, that can so easily be broken.

They are ‘Egyptian Burial Documents’, or a set of prayers asking to take care of a deceased man in the afterlife. They are NOT a story of Abraham in Egypt. They are the same scrolls, as even the pictures line up, and you can see where Joseph made up the parts because that’s right where he starts going wrong. He definitively didn’t translate anything.

Plus it includes historic peoples, events, and locations (ie. Gethsemane). The Bible didn’t make claims about far off lands, with peoples that never existed, and events that certainly never took place (ie. Jews sailing to the americas). Instead, it provides the central thesis to all christianity: Christ.

The inclination to believe in God is a misassociation of social behavior to the environment, it’s a psychological phenomenon similar to schitzophrenia, but not as influential. Religious people are crazy, because they think the environment speaks english and has human emotions, which I think we agree is simply silly. Prayer has been proven to not work.

Evolution contains a moral dilemma because morals stand in contrast to the “selfish gene”; even Dawkins concedes this. That is, evolution is not a sociological issue – it is a biological one. A human being could EASILY design a better spine – but God can’t? A human could EASILY design a better eye – so why didn’t God? Praying is important for building a relationship and expressing our “`thanks to the Lord.” It is an important thing for any Christian. I think this understanding applies to both laypeople and Aspies.

The creator IS nature, and prayer is simply the act of speaking the wrong language to it.

If you want to say they are designed, then sure you can say that – but you make the mistake when you call the designer ‘intelligent’, because it isn’t. Evolution isn’t intelligent, and the result of evolution isn’t intelligent. It’s trial and error, and scientists even know the mechanism.
