(impressed, but not favorably so!); for, in da video that begins with Tom-Tom spueing out his sickeningly-sweet syrup, I see that he, Monson, has a photo montage that syncronizes with this his gen’l conf. talk, in April, 2008. (SEE 0.20-0.26, of the vid):
Monson SHAMELESSLY connects the visits of U.S. leaders with Russian Heads of State with his word “machinations” (see Putin with Bush & Hilary).

Now, recall Monson schmoozing with EricHoeneker, in 1985…

[..YouTube..] For a so-called prophet, the late EzraBenson preached up freedom and liberty, on the one hand, and espoused a form of “kiss-ass mentality”, on the other hand. (viz, We believe in kissing up to kings…rulers….and mormon-church presidents)
You don’t REALLY think that it means “subject oneself” to presidents of countries, do you??? (Hint: Presidents are not kings who need subjects)

The only presidents who really need “subjects” are the mormon-church type (viz., obey your leaders, now!)

[..YouTube..] To give Ezra Taft Benson credit, his talk WAS quite appropriate, for the time (1960s). Americans were becoming complacent. And, Washington was–as it still is–in the habit of the Legislative Branch (a “separate” branch) giving to the President (the Executive Branch) a rubber-stamped approval of his, the President’s agenda.
Benson was really RIGHT, in bringing that up: in order to make people more aware of what the true conditions actually were, and what their own role could be, within that.

Why use a word that old, tired Mormons from Utah seem to keep alive, for no other reason than to either “wow” the people, or to completely “buffalo” them?
